This cant help but feel like culmination of the entire year. Glanville going through the garage telling every young driver he could to wear the HANS. Bob Strait after crashing at DuQuoin calling it a testament to the open face helmet and horse collar. All ending with the 6th driver death of the new millennia in a stock car race.

I'm glad they brought the Truck Series back to Gateway in 2014, and that they have been racing there every year since. I'm glad the Cup Series finally has a race there now. I think it is a total disappointment, and a sin, in the hearts of racing fans, like myself, that the Xfinity Series doesn't have a race at Gateway right now. Gateway to me, is a track, that played an important role, in shaping the history, of the NASCAR Xfinity Series, from the time they first raced there, in '97, til the last race there, in 2010. If we can get the Xfinity Series back to Gateway, and complete the trifecta, for NASCAR in St. Louis, that would be a total win for me.
